Mini (1959 - 2001)
The most significant car of the last 50 years. It was not the first front-wheel-drive car, but it was the first one to demonstrate why no small car should be without it. The spaciousness and roadholding of the Mini were so far ahead of anything else that it was not in a different class, it was at Oxbridge while the others were in primary school.
