Aston Martin DB5 (1963 - 1965)
The DB5 was immortalised in Goldfinger, although the silver DB5 actually made an appearance in three other Bond films: Thunderball, GoldenEye and Casino Royale. The James Bond connection was possibly the best piece of product placement in film history and the goodwill generated by it kept the brand alive during some very dark days. The DB5 was probably the high-water mark of the original DB cars, being more refined than the DB4, and more attractive than the slightly bulky-looking DB6.
