Fiat Dino (1967 - 1973)
Named after Enzo Ferrari's son, the Fiat Dino was the offspring of a marriage of convenience between the two great Italian marques. Out of it Ferrari got to build enough of its V6's to homologate it for Formula 2, Fiat got Ferrari power and the cache of the Dino name.
With its fabulous body, sumptuous interior and dash bedecked with dials, the Dino was a mini-supercar. A rare sight in the UK, most Brits will remember them from the Italian job, a fleet of them chauffeuring mafia boss Altabani. That was more than a lucky piece of casting - Fiat Dinos became known in Italy as the Mafia staff car.
