Jeremy Clarkson

It's not often that Britain's favourite motormouth, Jeremy Clarkson, reveals which are his favourite cars.

But in a recent Sunday Times article, Clarkson admitted that while in the 1980s there was only a handful of cars which were really desirable, now there are 20 or 30 motors that he would be prepared to spend his own money on.

Clarkson suggests that there is simply no excuse for buying a rubbish car these days because the market is stacked with really good motors.

Pushed to nominate which 12 cars would fill his dream garage, Clarkson named a wide selection ranging from the outrageous Pagani Zonda F supercar to the working man's muscle motor of choice, the Vauxhall Monaro.

Clarkson says the Lamborghini Gallardo is his current favourite, stating that since Audi has taken over the running of the company the Italian supercars are now a sensible buy - if you've in excess of £120,000 to blow.

Aston's V8 Vantage is also included, and the only reason the Top Gear man doesn't drive one is that his wife already has a Vantage and it would be greedy to own two.

Take a look at his selection and vote for your favourite.
