MINI is returning to Super Bowl for the first time in five years.
It's the most-watched annual sporting occasion on the planet and advertising spots are hard to come by - but MINI is returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2011.
This year's Super Bowl stands to be the biggest ever, celebrating the half-century of the event. In addition to the Vince Lombardi trophy that's traditionally awarded to the winners, the victors will receive a 30kg, gold plated "50" designed by Tiffany's. They're even dropping the traditional Roman numeral designation for the day, so rather than being known as "L", this will be Super Bowl 50.
Each 30-second advertising slot during the game - of which there will be many - will reportedly cost $5m (£3.4m), and MINI's 30-seconds will air during the third quarter of the game.
We don't know what the advert will consist of, but it's expected that MINI will be showcasing its newest products, like the 5-door hatchback and Clubman, and previewing the new version of the Convertible model.
Super Bowl 50 will kick off at around 11.30pm UK time on Sunday, February 7th.
