This is the Citroen DS3 DSign Noire by Benefit (quite a mouthful, no?), the third special edition DS3 hatchback to be designed in conjunction with cosmetics manufacturer Benefit.
Starting at £14,995, this new special edition commands a £2,380 premium on the 1.2-litre entry-level VTi version of the three-door hatchback on which it is based.
That mark-up seems quite steep for a car which has essentially undergone a makeover, with styling changes and some additional equipment the only real notable difference over the standard model.
For the extra cash buyers will get styling inspired by Benefit's latest range of 'They're Real!' gel eye-liners (yes, really), including a 'Perla Nera' metallic black paint finish, black 17-inch alloy wheels and a fishnet-style graphic for the contrasting roof panel.
The San Francisco based cosmetics firm has further made its mark on the chic French hatchback with the addition of 'Benefit Orange' door mirror housings and wheel centre caps. The company's logo is also stamped on the DS3's B pillars.
Inside, the normally contrasting dashboard is finished in gloss black, while the sports seats are part upholstered in premium-feeling Alcantara. The new floor mats are also black velour, with a smattering of orange piping the only splash of colour in the rather dark interior.
While it's based on the entry-level DS3, Citroen has bestowed the DSign Noire with air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity and the upgraded hi-fi option as standard.
In a hint at the sort of driver the car is pitched at, customers will also receive a make-up bag that's been designed to fit in the DS3's glove box, filled with £100 of Benefit cosmetics.
