A face-lifted version of the Ford Focus ST is to make its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this Friday.
Previewed in the teaser video below, the Focus ST will be part of the 'First Glance' category of brand new models that will take to the tricky Goodwood hill climb in the hands of professional drivers (including ex-Stig Ben Collins) on all three days of the festival.
The revised model benefits from the technological and quality improvements that were introduced earlier this year to the rest of the Focus range. These include re-shaped body panels, revisions to the front and rear bumpers, new light clusters front and rear and a re-styled dashboard.
Currently there is no indication as to whether there have been any power gains from the current ST's 247bhp 2.0-litre engine, though Ford has announced a new diesel version of the model will be offered for the first time. That car will also be on display at the Ford stand.
Making its first UK appearance alongside the ST will be the all-new Ford Mustang. The full-fat 5.0-litre V8 Fastback model will be taking part in the hill climb in the Supercar class, while a convertible version will be on static display throughout the weekend.
