A people carrier driver brought carnage to central London on Friday, after losing control and coming to rest on top of four motorbikes.
The stricken Citroen was snapped by astonished passers-by on Harley Street in the exclusive W1 postcode.
It is believed that the driver caused the accident by reversing into a sign, which then created a ramp over the four bikes, allowing the people carrier to mount them.
A female motorist – who was reportedly wearing a cast – was later taken to hospital with minor injuries, while police cordoned off the area and set about clearing up the mass of tangled metal.
Harley Street is known for its plethora of private clinics, including opticians, which this unlucky driver could no doubt benefit from visiting.
The crash caused a stir on social media platforms, with bystanders taking to Twitter to express their disbelief:

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that officers had attended a road traffic accident at the scene. An investigation into the collision is currently underway.
