'Sex wagon' goes up in flames
The vehicle had been parked at a motorway rest stop near Horneburg in Germany, and luckily its owner – known only as "Lady Jane" – was in a lorry driver's cab when the blaze broke out.
Police, who are appealing for witnesses, said that inside the "Love-Mobil" were a bed and assorted sex aids. The vehicle had been there because it was said to be handy for the owner to get access to where she could conduct her business.
Clients were mainly motorists and truckers, said a report on the Mail Online.
It took 35 firefighters to put out the blaze, and an investigation has been launched into what caused it and whether it might have been an arson attack. The van was said by "Lady Jane", 32, to be worth more than £5,000.
Police spokesman Markus Dietmar said: "It took 35 firemen to extinguish it after we got the first report. By the time they arrived, the mobile erotic wagon was already well on fire and it is a total write-off as a result of the blaze."
Prostitution is legal in Germany, with many cities having designated red-light districts that are subject to strict regulation by the authorities.
