The shapely Giulietta has undergone some minor surgery in the name of keeping it fresh and current.
> Alfa's stylish premium hatchback now boasts a new front grille design; revised front fog light bezels; new 16, 17, and 18-inch alloy wheel designs and new exterior colours (Luna Pearl, Cobalto Blue and Metallo Bronze) to further enhance its appeal.
Inside, the Italian hatch has been dragged kicking and screaming into 2014 with a revised dash that now features an all-new Uconnect multimedia system with associated auxiliary and USB points conveniently located in the centre console.
The new multimedia system boasts a five-inch colour touch-screen display plus DAB radio, satellite navigation and wireless music streaming facilities.
A new engine also features under the revised outer shell in the form of a 2.0-litre, Common Rail injection diesel unit that produces 147bhp yet boasts lower emissions and improved fuel consumption.
A completely new trim level, dubbed Sportiva Nav, will also be offered to customers wanting a more focussed drive. The optional extra adds sports suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brake calipers, sport steering wheel and Alcantara trim on the seats.
Prices for the 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta start at £18,235 for the 1.4 TB 117bhp Progression trim and rise to £25,220 for the 2.0-litre JTDM Sportiva Nav models.
