The chaps over at FortyOneSix.com - the official website for anything automotive at Goodwood - have collated some of the finest metal to hail from the UK and across The Pond for one awesome showdown.

In a hope to settle the argument that rages between American Muscle fans and British sports cars aficionados, racing driver Anthony Reid pits a Jaguar F-Type and an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S against the almighty Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

The stage? Goodwood's famous hill climb route, of course, on a very wet and very slippery weekday morning. The rules? Anthony Reid has to race flat-out without the help of electronic driver aids.

The result? Well, we don't want to spoil it for you but let's just say that the £61,495 Chevrolet makes an extremely convincing case for itself considering it is over £70,000 cheaper than the Aston Martin.

Editor's note: The friendly people at the Goodwood estate have assured us that no sheep were harmed in the making of this film.
