Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has just unveiled a teaser image for its upcoming hypercar, the One:1.
Clearly sick and tired of the likes of Ferrari and Porsche dominating the media with extreme performance hybrids such as the LaFerrari and 918 Spyder, Koenigsegg has revealed that its latest model will boast an astonishing 1,322bhp.
The One: 1 moniker refers to the car's claimed power-to-weight ratio - tipping the scales at 1,340kg thus producing 1,340hp or 1,322bhp.
Details are scarce on the exact engine specification but should it produce such astonishing performance, it will easily take the crown of most powerful production car on the market, trumping the 1,300bhp SSC Ultimate Aero.
More details will be announced at the Geneva motor show where the One: 1 will take pride of place on the Koenigsegg stand but all we have to go on for the time being is a leaked shot portraying the rear of the awesome vehicle.
Clear hints of other Koenigsegg products including the Agera S and Agera R are visible in the styling but new features include a large oval central exhaust system and new LED lamps.
An enormous rear wing is also present and hints at the sort of downforce that will be required to keep such a lightweight vehicle pressed into the Tarmac at top speeds.
The world's fastest production car title currently belongs to the 1184bhp Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, but with the Swedish missile packing an extra 138bhp, that 267.8mph top speed could be in jeopardy.
Check back for more in the coming weeks.
