A limited run of specially-trimmed GT86s will go on sale next month and customers can expect their sporty coupe to include a plethora of upgrades by Toyota's racing division, TRD.
Only 250 tweaked models will be made but these all include bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels, Tarmac-grazing bumpers (front and rear) and a new quad-tailpipe exhaust set up. A stylish rear diffuser is the cherry on top of a very attractive cake.
These items are all in addition to GT86's established equipment specification, which includes HID headlamps, front fog lamps, limited slip differential, Smart Entry and Start, dual-zone climate control, analogue dials and meters, drilled aluminium pedals, sports seats, scuff plates, cruise control and the Toyota Touch multimedia system.
Unfortunately, performance figures remain unchanged so despite looking like an all-out racer, the GT86 TRD will still nail the 0-62mph sprint time in 7.7 seconds and go on to do 140mph.
The GT86 TRD will be available in a choice of two colours: Pearl White and GT86 Black. On-the-road prices are £31,495 for the manual and £32,995 for the auto.
Considering you can pick up a standard GT86 for £24,995, that seems a big price to pay for exclusivity.
