Liz Hurley was overjoyed when she found her "stolen" car after forgetting where she parked it for four days.
The actress and model reported the Audi S6 to the police after she believed it was snatched during a shopping trip to Mayfair last week.
> But this weekend, The Sun traced the car to a parking space outside a swanky shop in London's Mayfair where it was covered in four days worth of parking tickets.
According to The Sun, Liz laughed sheepishly as a pal grabbed the notices - totalling £240 in fines - and then she drove off.
Shop staff told how they remembered her parking the car last week as they voiced their disbelief at the fiasco.
Speaking to The Sun, one shop worker said: "It's been here every day, with tickets piling up.
"How stupid or rich do you have to be to forget about your car for that long?"
Another recalled: "She arrived at lunchtime and began walking one way down the road, then turned around and went the other.
"She comes here quite a lot but looked a bit lost and disoriented.
"You can only park there for four hours but she never returned for it.
"We saw the car on Friday and had bets on whether it would still be there Monday morning.
"I couldn't believe it when I read in The Sun she thought it had been nicked."
The police reportedly quoted: "There have been no arrests and our enquiries continue."
