It seems every manufacturer wants a slice of the small SUV market and who can blame them when the Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Juke and Skoda Yeti are all selling like hot cakes.
These teaser images show what a small crossover might look like of the Korean brand puts it into production. The concept is yet to receive an official title but these images provide a preview to what the model will look like when it is officially unveiled at the Geneva motor show later in the year.
> The Kia press department has described the latest concept as "a provocative and racy new urban concept car" but despite its aggressive styling and sporty credentials it still faces stiff competition in a busy market segment.
Peugeot recently unveiled the 2008 and Renault similarly tore the wraps off its Captur, adding two newcomers to a segment that already includes tried-and-tested vehicles.
According to Kia, the concept will attracts customers with, "the company's signature tiger-nose morphing into a mischievous, yet friendly, grille and headlight arrangement, coupled with strong styling lines that exude speed and energy from every angle."
The design language can clearly be seen in the frustratingly stylistic images and despite the concept featuring a three-door layout; we can fully expect a five-door offering when the new model goes on sale.
Just don't expect styling of the production model to look quite this dramatic.
