That's right - 2013 is better than the year before it. In actual fact, you already knew that because all of the cars you've read about on AOL Cars and in other motoring publications over the last 12 months, start to arrive in 2013. That's the way the car industry works and it's up to scribblers such as us to enthuse you to buy them.
Have a read and let us know what you think.
13 cars for 2013
- Mini Paceman
Arrives? March

Think the Paceman looks familiar? Well it’s the three-door coupe version of the Countryman SUV crossover thing. Confused? You can’t be – you should have seen this coming from Mini. Prices start at £19k while the hot Cooper S version gets to 60mph in 7.3 seconds. Hotter JCW arrives later.

- Porsche Macan
Arrives? Sometime in 2013

It may be named after Dennis Waterman's character in Minder, but this new Porsche SUV is a mini Cayenne. It'll be produced in Germany but that's all we really know. It'll probably be rather good and annoy environmentalists.

- Renaultsport Clio 200 Turbo
Arrives? Sometime in 2013

Hot version of new Clio will only come in five-doors and will throw away the old 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine for a 198bhp turbocharged 1.6-litre unit. It'll also feature Renault's new EDC dual clutch transmission.

- Vauxhall Adam
Arrives? February

Funky Vauxhall to take on Fiat's 500 and the British-built Mini. Available in a mind-boggling variety of personalisation packs and can be ordered in colours with names such as Buzz Lightgreen and Papa Don't Peach. Yes really. Prices from £11k.

- Chevy Trax
Arrives? Spring

Chevrolet’s version of the Vauxhall Mokka gains the firms trademark gaping grille and central bow tie motif, and will come in a choice of three engines: 1.4 turbocharged petrol, 1.6 petrol and 1.7-litre diesel. Not much else to say, really.

- Citroen DS3 Cabrio
Arrives? March

Citroen is continuing the success of the DS3 by introducing a convertible version. Uses the same retractable roof technology as the Fiat 500C and there are three fabric roof designs. Weighs only 25kg more than the standard hatchback. Perfect for posers.

- Peugeot 208 GTi
Arrives? Spring

Peugeot is putting all of its hopes of reviving the GTi name on this car. Uses some design characteristics from the old 205 GTi, but now has a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with 198bhp; 0-60mph in seven seconds; and emits 145g/km of CO2. We really hope it’s good.

- Renault Zoe
Arrives? Spring

At £13,650, the Zoe will be the cheapest five-door electric vehicle on the market, and the one with the longest range. Limited to 84mph, the Zoe can travel 130 miles – but only if the wind’s in the right direction. And it’s not cold. And you don’t like driving fast…

- Porsche 918 Spyder
Arrives? Sometime in 2013

2013 could finally be the year we get the 918. Uses a 4.6-litre 568bhp V8, a 90kW hybrid module and an 80kW electric motor. Total power is 768bhp and it’ll reach 201mph.

- McLaren P1
Arrives? Winter

McLaren issued a large number of photos but absolutely no technical details on the P1. Expect it to be better than an MP4-12C and to rival the new Ferrari Enzo. Looks like a spaceship, doesn’t it?

- Jaguar F-Type
Arrives? Summer

You know everything there is to know about this car, don’t you? Comes in supercharged V6 and V8 forms; can top 186mph and gets to 60mph in four seconds. Priced from £58,500. We want so badly.

- Aston Martin Vanquish
Arrives? It’s here

New flagship Aston revives the great Vanquish name. Uses a 570bhp 6.0-litre V12, will crack 183mph and will hit 60mph in four seconds. Costs £190k. Start saving.

- Dacia Sandero
Arrives? January

Could be the most important car in 2013 – as it’ll be the cheapest with prices starting from just £5,995. Can only be ordered online and collected from one of Dacia’s 135 retailers. Entry-level version only comes in white.
