VW's rock and roll Beetle Fender
The limited-edition Beetle Fender comes with a vibrant new addition to the interior – a dash panel in vibrant "Sunburst" wood, just like a classic Fender guitar, says Volkswagen.
The music theme continues with a 400-Watt Fender sound system, complete with boot-mounted subwoofer and illuminated front speaker mountings.
Each Beetle Fender also comes with VW's RCD 510 audio unit with full-colour touchscreen and MDI multi-device interface, 2Zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights and bespoke "Cheyenne" cloth seats with leather-look side bolsters.
Beetle Fenders are available in just one colour – black (in this case Deep Pearl Black) – with a rear spoiler, retro 18-inch "Discus" alloy wheels, and a Fender badge on each front wing.
Engine choices are limited to just a 2.0-litre TDI unit with 138bhp amted to either a six-speed manual or DSG gearbox.
The Beetle Fender costs £23,015 for the manual model, and £24,610 for the DSG. Orders open on January 2, 2013 with production being limited.
