Ford has announced pricing details for the all-new second generation Kuga, which has entered production today.
Despite packing in more equipment and technology over the previous model, prices for the new model start from £20,895, which is £1,000 less than the current Kuga.
The UK's previous best-selling Kuga was a 2.0-litre TDCi Titanium. When compared to the previous model, the new model is £355 cheaper, costing £25,545, while offering more kit as standard.
This includes fold-flat seats that can recline in the rear, adjustable load floor, Ford SYNC with Audible Text Messaging and Emergency Assist, Visual AWD Monitor, Hill Start Assist and enhanced Cruise Control with Active Speed Limiter.
There are three trim models available, Zetec, Titanium and the range topping Titanium X as well as two engines, both in two different states of tune. The 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine is available with either 148bhp or 178bhp and the 2.0-litre TDCi Durotorq diesel engine is available with 138bhp or 161bhp.
There is also the option of having just front or all-wheel drive, along with two gearboxes, a six-speed manual or six-speed auto.
The new Kuga is available to order now with the first deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2013.
