Video: Nissan DeltaWing gets assaulted... again!
It would seem not many racing drivers like the madly-styled Nissan DeltaWing.
In testing for this weekend's 15th annual Petit Le Mans, the Batmobile-like DeltaWing was punted off the track by another racing car.
The impact was measured at 7Gs and resulted in the Nissan rolling-over and crashing into a concrete wall.
The video shows the whole incident unfold and how, amazingly, Jeannette survived with no injuries.
The Nissan crew immediately set to work to repair the car, and the team says it's ready to compete in this weekend's endurance race.
Petrolheads will remember it's not the first time the DeltaWing has been involved in a bust-up.
This year's Le Mans 24 hours saw the DeltaWing collide with a Toyota Hybrid racer; a crash which resulted in the DeltaWing retire.
The DeltaWing was built with the aim of competing in endurance races around the world using half the fuel of contemporary prototype racing cars. Let's hope it survives this weekend's marathon race unscathed.
