Jenson Button's Ferrari Enzo could fetch £1million
A car once owned by Formula One world champion Jenson Button could fetch £1million this weekend.
Auction firm Coys is putting a Ferrari Enzo once owned by the F1 champ under the hammer in its Spirit of Motoring sale at Ascot on October 13.
The Enzo is expected to fetch between £850,000 and £950,000 – but it could top £1million if interest is high.
Just 400 Enzos were built between 2002 and 2004, making it one of the most exclusive Ferraris ever made.
Button's Enzo is a 2004-registered car and has covered just 800 miles since new.
"We think it'll appeal to both Jenson Button fans and Enzo collectors," Coys' Guy Newton told Autoblog. "A lot of people are not making money on the stock exchange as they were, so they are investing in classic cars. Enzos rarely come up for sale so interest is high – but the Jenson Button association makes it even more desirable."
The sale also sees a mouth-watering range of exotic cars including a 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona and a 1985 Peugeot 205 T16.
The sale is being held at Ascot Racecourse, Berkshire, this Saturday, October 13, while viewing takes place on Friday, October 12.
