Two stars on the Audi stand at the Paris Motor Show were the new hot S3 hatchback and the sporty SQ5 SUV.
The 2.0-litre TFSI motor in the all-wheel-drive S3 produces 296bhp and 379Nm of torque, some 35bhp and 30Nm more than the outgoing car. Audi claims the new 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine will return a useful 40.9mpg on the combined cycle.
Meanwhile the SQ5 TDI is notable for being the first S-badged Audi to be powered by a diesel engine.
The SQ5 TDI has a 309bhp 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 diesel motor and will be available to order in the UK later this year for around £44,000.
It covers the 0-60mph dash in five seconds while electronic nannying limits max speed to 155mph. Audi claim a combined 39.2mpg figure.
