American brand Chevrolet has announced it will be offering its new compact SUV to the UK market.
The Trax is the Chevy-ised version of the forthcoming Vauxhall Mokka and will be taking the fight to the Nissan Juke.
Chevy says the car will offer bags of space for five occupants, car-like handling and off-road capability.
There will be three engines available – a 138bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 1.6-litre petrol, and a 128bhp 1.7-litre diesel.
Trim levels include LS and LT. The base-level LS is generously equipped with 16-inch alloys, rear parking sensors, front fog lamps and Bluetooth.
LT models add 18-inch alloys, a rear parking camera, a leather steering wheel and gearknob, and a light-sensitive rear-view mirror. LT versions also get Chevy's MyLink infotainment system as standard.
