All VW Polo models above the S trim level will now receive Bluetooth as standard.

The Touch Phone Kit, previously a £245 option, is being made standard. The Touch Phone Kit adds a 2.8-inch colour touchscreen to the Polo's dashboard, which can display a phone book, call lists, reception status etc.

It also offers voice control of dialling and answering, and can 'read' out text messages and emails. Two telephones can also be connected at the same time. In addition, all Polos from the Match trim level upwards also come with a multi-device interface, for integration of iPods and other portable devices.

Bluetooth is also being made standard on all mid-sized VW models above S trim level. Large VWs such as the Passat and Touareg have Bluetooth as standard across the range.

Finally, all Polo models also now come with DAB digital radio as standard. Given that DAB was supposed to be universal by 2014, we are amazed at the number of cars still coming with analogue radios. There is going to be a huge aftermarket in a couple of years for digital convertors. Maybe car companies think they are going to pick up that business, but it seems more likely they will be massively undercut on price: car companies are not going to compete with Amazon.
