Toyota's new sports car, the GT 86, finally has a price tag. After some speculation that the 197bhp car would set buyers back close to £30,000, Toyota has revealed that the entry-level model wouldn't cost anywhere near as much.
When sales start in June, the base-level car will set you back £24,995.
The idea behind the GT 86 is driving fun, rather than guts-out performance. It'll come with a 197bhp 2.0-litre boxer engine (developed by Subaru) mated to a six-speed manual or auto. Unlike the majority of Toyota's line up the GT 86 is rear-wheel-drive and comes with a limited slip differential.
Toyota is taking advanced orders on the GT 86 and if you sign up sooner rather than later you'll be one of the first on the whole wide planet to own one. So... get on it.
