One of the crucial releases for Mercedes-Benz at Frankfurt is the new B-Class.

Radically redesigned, the direction of the car now nods toward a 'sports tourer' rather than a compact family hatchback.

Mercedes have incorporated petrol and diesel engines combined with new fuel-efficient gearboxes and stop/start technology will be standard across the range.

A switch to the traditional RWD platform used in the majority of the model range is a big leap for the B-Class and one of the most welcomed changes is that the car now boasts more legroom than both the E and S-Class ranges.
