According to analysis from comparison site moneysupermarket.com, the most popular car of 2010 for UK motorists was Vauxhall's popular supermini - the Corsa.
The comparison site looked at the top fifty insurance quotes made in 2010 by make and the Vauxhall supermini came out on top. The Corsa was followed in second, third and fourth place by the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Golf and Renault Clio.
Interestingly, the research also revealed that the average engine size of the top twenty most searched cars was 1.6 litres, suggesting that British drivers are opting for smaller more fuel-efficient cars.
Despite the recent Government Scrappage Scheme, this research suggests that we're not driving newer cars. The average registered date of the top 10 cars was 2001, with the newest being a 2003 model and the oldest from 2000.
