For the fifth year in a row Scottish car buyers have chosen Vauxhall as their favourite manufacturer.

Sales totalled 26,901 - nearly 7,000 more than its closest rival - according to figures released by the company with the Corsa the most popular model.
The supermini flew off Scottish forecourts - 10,660 of them, in fact - for the fourth successive year and well ahead of the runner-up, the Astra, which sold 8,384.

Bosses at Scotland's most popular manufacturer will be rubbing their hands in glee as 2011 brings plenty of new products to market, including the launch of the face-lifted Corsa (pictured above).
