Whilst in Los Angeles for the recent Auto Show, Lotus couldn't resist the opportunity to shoot its controversial new line up around Hollywood. Compared to their debuts in Paris, I believe these pictures really bring the cars alive.
Check out some of the results from the photoshoot below.
First up is the new Elise, the current mainstay of the Lotus range. It's due in 2015 and its directional body has subtle hints of the current car, but at the same time it couldn't be more different. It will be powered by a 320PS, 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
Next up is the Elan, now a 2+2, it's powered by a 450PS 4.0-litre V6. Possibly seen as the Evora replacement in the new range, the Elan will also be available with KERS hybrid technology and is due for launch in 2013.
The Esprit is expected to be the first of the new Lotus's to make production and is probably the most eagerly awaited too. Described as the ultimate Lotus, it will be powered by a 620 PS, 5.0-litre V8 and will offer exceptional performance due to its lightweight build. These pictures really emphasise the Esprit's distinctive low, sleek styling.
Finally, we have the reborn Elite GT car. I never thought it before, but in this picture you can clearly see Aston Martin DB9 influences in the shark-like exterior styling. Planned for launch in 2014, it's powered by a front-mid-mounted 5.0 litre V8 engine, delivering up to 620 PS with the option of the KERS hybrid technology.
